I've been thinking about this lately. These guys live a really cool lifestyle. All they do is basically bodybuilding, and banging hot women all day. It sounds like an amazing lifestyle.
Anyone ever think about doing this?

They say for your career you should do what you love. They only problem I can foresee is that it could get really tiring shooting all those scenes day after day.

He goes into great detail about other things such as performers, directors, and what goes into shoots besides being a camera man. That's why I posted the thread for you. You have to look at all aspects of the industry before just thinking you can jump in and pump away... cuz that's not quite how it works

That's ok I was being an a** hole too. I'm not really serious in pursuing a career in this. I just like daydreaming about how that's pretty much my ideal lifestyle. If I was rich and never had to work, those are the things I'd do. As far as actually doing it I don't think I could quite pull it off. I'd be way to self conscious in front of the camera. Plus these guys take so much viagra... can't be healthy.
One time I was getting a blow job in public and I was so freaked out. Couldn't get even close to coming.

Well if ur ever really interested in understanding all of what goes into scenes in terms of money, performers, getting performers, the gay v. straight industries, different fetishes, and what it takes to be a director, performer, producer, or camera man I highly suggest reading that thread. It goes into great detail and is really informative. The lifestyle certainly isn't for everyone, but it certainly is for some :)

Well if you been on here for a while you know I have experienced this but it was different i was with my wife so it was just like normal except extra people in the room lol

tons of girls in the industry are real specific about what you do (ie no finger in the ass, dont get off in the face, no contact, blah blah blah). as a guy in the industry you get tossed around like you're nothing. the industry is about the girls, and what they want, you're just there basically as an extra getting f'ed. than as tony said you need to get off when the director says. unless your a big star as a guy, or in a big movie, your not going to see that much money.

This is one of the posts made by the dude in the thread Zack linked to, it's really interesting I had no idea how it all goes down.

He was asked about STD's and if they're common in the industry:

STDs are a fact of life and a fact of performing in this industry. Your going to get hit, no matter how careful you are. I have dodged many bullets, but about a year ago (or more) I was hit with the double entendre of a UTI (urinary tract infection) and a staph infection at the same time. The staph wasn't that bad and that went away very fast, but the UTI was god awful. Took me two shots and two rounds of antibiotics to get rid of it. The pain was indescribable. By the second week I kept this piece of cork in my bathroom to bite down on it while I peed.

There are bouts of chlamydia that go around. Most things are tested for and we all have to be tested every 30 days in order to work. Herpes does happen, but it is also blown out of proportion. I shoot about 20 scenes a month and I've rarely seen anyone with a herpes outbreak. I can only recall two instances in the last five years that I've run into that. Staph is way more common.

And he replied this to some dude who had the idea that the lifestyle is really that great and that he could pull it off easily:

Sex on camera is not sex in private. You can't relate the two. You've also fallen into the fantasy the girls in this industry show up to set and actually WANT to have sex that day. The majority of the girls show up nervous, unsure, and a little anxious. The last thing on her mind is having sex with you.

Compound those feelings of anxiety with possibly being in a bad mood, or a possible argument with their agent and the girl often wants to just hurry up and get the scene done. To be brutally honest too, most of the girls end up hating the male talent, except for the very top tier.

What happens when the girl is completely annoyed with you and doesn't want to be there? What happens when she isn't going to kiss you or help you keep your erection and you have to do it all on your own? You ready to be sitting on set jerking off in front of a bunch of crew, while this girl barely acknowledges you? I realize I sound harsh, but that is reality in some cases. And being a performer means being able to deal with that reality. It's not about when things are good. It's when things are bad how well you do.

You keep mentioning Jenna Haze, but your talking about jumping into the performing industry and working with the best. Jenna has a very small list of guys she will work with. You would mostly likely perform in group scenes. These include blow bangs, DP's, double anals and other things that fall into the circus trick category. Once you prove yourself in the trenches then you start working with actual pretty girls. That will take awhile. You fail once or twice and your done. Being male talent is very difficult. It is not what you think it is.

He mentions NOTHING about HIV, which is not surprising because most people wouldn't even know they had it until they were older. I wonder what the rates are for that. Chlamydia and Gonorrhea, syphilis, whatever, they don't matter, you just take a week long course of antibiotics and its gone, HIV, no such thing as of right now. But some scientists ARE working on a vaccine in canada.

He went into the 2 scares of HIV they've had in the business in the last like 20 years. Basically they find it out by the testing and then basically quarantine all people associated with the films (th talent basically) and then go backwards in time to figure out exactly who was in contact with the person that tested positive and pretty much do extensive searching to find the source and test these people with much higher grade tests than the average person would get and make sure it doesn't spread and that the situation is dealt with accordingly. It's very rare that it comes up. People think it's full of herpes and HIV, but it's really not

Infact the gay industry is worse. Little to no girls will work with anyone from the gay industry since they are condom only and don't test for anything. The gay industry being untested causes a huge rift in the porn world
