I also workout out 4xweek

Here's the deal: People will never accept this sport! Don't get upset when people ask stupid questions. Be nice... That way people won't disrespect you and talk rumors.

You should be very thankful that you don't train in my gym. I was told that the deadlift was an exercise which didn't work your back :/

What kind of an asshole tells me to 'wait my turn' on the dipping bars? You don't spend your entire time exercising, share the goddamn machines.

I understand what you are saying. I work out at 24 hour fitness and its often very hard to get things accomplished without someone doing/saying something lame. And of course you cant get through your workout without 50 pairs of eyes staring at you. Its even worse when you are a chick(who can often lift more weight than half the dudes in there). No one respects what you are trying to do at all.

I think Pumping Iron is exactly right, being smart with people wont get you anywhere...nor will it increase the appeal and reputation of the sport. Being respectful is the best way to go about your workout in my opinion. There are always people who are fast to criticize no matter where you are...work, school...gym, whatever. So screw those folks. Also, just remember that there are a few chicks out there who arent dumb broads(bitches) like the one you mentioned...so keep an eye out for us cool chicks and steer clear of the lame ones. :Banane23:

Second both banshee and Pumping iron. Its not like any of us do this sport because we want to fit in, so we are going to stand out. Sorry you had to deal with that, but it comes with the territory.

^^ Agreed, we all want to stand out and be freaks. Here's my moral and I told this to my parents yesterday and they actually agreed with it...

90% of the people in this world work very very hard. But they work very very hard for big money, becasue that is what impresses them. I am also working very very hard, but for big muscles, because that is what impresses me. I understand the importance and value of money. I would not be able to continue what I am doing without money to pay my bills, but 90% of my life is working towards muscle and not money. I will be happy if I can survive and get by with 40,000 dollars a year as long as I can continue to do what makes me happy. If making money makes others such as Bill Gates happy, then god bless him, but making big muscles is what makes me happy.

I hope that made sense to everyone.
