Specifically calculus. I am having a hell of a time finding all the intersection points of these two equations.

The polar equations are as follows:
r=1-3cosx
r=1+3sinx
*Note: x stands for theta. I have no idea how to actually type it in*

I need all the intersection points to find the specific areas in the graph. Please help, this thing is killing me.

Draw them on graph paper.

One at x =135(90+45) and another at x = 315(360-45)

You should be able to work the rest out from that.
It's been several years since I've done this but I think it right.

I've gotten those intersection points. I was wondering how to get the intersection points in the inner loops.

Snake man,

Tried that. In fact that was the first thing I tried. It won't spit anything back out.

I feel like I'm just going to give up on this problem. I can't figure out how to find those intersection points mathematically so, I'm just gonna hang it up for now. I've literally used every resource I could think of:

Here
Yahoo Answers
Anything I could find on the web ending in .edu
The Physics and Math Forum
A friend who's in vector calculus
Two friends who placed within the top 20 in state math competitions whilst in high school
My high school pre calc teacher who ran circles around me when I took her class
Free graphing software from the internet

If none of those things/people can figure it out, I have no chance whatsoever.

Im assuming this is for a college course. Is there nothing in the book that would show how to solve it?
