The two heavyweight fights in ufc 81 were both big disappointments for me. If brock wants to become champ he really need to learn another fighting style, wrestling isnt an effective fighting style imo and against ju jitsu guys its pretty useless because there just gonna get caught in a hold.

He didn't get his ass beat. He dominated Mir but just got caught.
I agree he didnt get his ass beat. He was looking pretty good his ground work was pretty damn quick for a big guy. But then again Mir could have been baiting him since his specialty is being on his back. Im sure Mir knew that he wasn't going to be able to outstrike Lesnar, so he decided to attack the big man's weak spot which was his legs and his arms. Even if that means he has to take a few shots.

I seriously doubt he went into that fight with just a wrestling style. That would have been real stupid if he didn't prepare for that. Im sure he was taught some form of jiujitsu/submission/ and or kickboxing. Why would you knowingly go against a bjj champion and not get training in bjj itself? If anything he has to have more experience with these arts. He has to be more proficient in the art as it showed when he got tired, he unknowingly reverted back to his wrestling stance and got screwed.
I don't think he did bad. He has virtually no mma experience. Mir is solid, they didn't just give Lesnar a no name to go pummel and come out with the win.
thats actually not even close to true... he just lost. he got caught. in no way did he get his ass handed to him considering he was the one on top smashing mirs face.
Brock is going to be a good fighter, he's just gonna have to learn to be more cautious and aware of what his opponent is doing. He was dominating the hell out of that fight, but gave Mir an inch of vulnerability and he took it. Brock just needs more time to get the rest of his skills on par
