I got there 1.5 hours early today. I saw him, his wife, and granddaughter right as they walked in and got to talk to him alone for 4-5 minutes uninterrupted.

I hope everyone can understand how important the Iowa caucuses are... that is the reason I haven't been on. I have had 11 hours of sleep in the last 3 days and none in the last 30+ hrs and now going to work... you don't even want to know about my nutrition. I take the approach, don't eat, rather than eat shit... trying to throw whatever I can together whenever. Putting in about 150+ miles per day.

Yeah Huckabee won. Iowa is mostly old people who 1. Go to church and 2. Vote. With him being a former pastor he was a shoe-in.

Obama is the best public speaker by far. He even got me excited but I have common sense so I didn't vote for him. People vote for him because his speeches are inspiring... they don't care that he rarely talks actual policy and when he does it is too broad. His speeches remind me of Martin Luther King.

Obama has no experience. Anybody who is not for either a flat tax or getting rid of the income tax and increasing user fees, tarriffs and the like are lost. Otherwise it's redistributing the wealth and/or it stifles innovation.

I have to give it to most Iowans we really try to be informed and meet everyone. Then there are people who only know of the top 4 candidates that the media sells to them and those idiots know nothing about politics and thank God usually don't turnout to vote.

Huckabee is too soft for anything to do with foreign policy. Look for McCain and Ron Paul to be the top 2 for Republicans in New Hampshire. They are a strong independent/libertarian state.

I am extremely interested in politics. Going to all these events has made me give some thought about getting some experience in politics. I would LOVE to cover it as a writer/photo journalist.

It didn't even hit me until a few days ago but my brother writes for a paper and I could have just used their camera, got a press pass and wrote some stories about it + maybe got all of my gas paid for :)

At 3 events the campaign people asked me if I was part of the media. I said no but thought about saying yes. Got some good shots regardless.

Paul mentioned how nutrition was rarely covered when he was in med school and I was thinking to myself... well nothing has changed. He continued by stating how important nutrition is in preventative health care and that he really watches what he eats.
