You want to be deployed but are not defending your country because of a ..... girl ?!
I was expecting you to say your not volunteering yet because you have a loving family partner and child ! lol ...

The way I look at it is ... Leave and fight for your life and country ! Then when you are sent home if your G/F really loves you she will wait for such a time ! That will truly tell if she loves you or whatever the case may be . If I were to sign up for war I wouldnt stay home purely because I have a G/F.

There are SO many soldiers etc leaving family / loved ones behind. I have the ut-most respect for them all

well you have you beliefs and i have mine. and if i volunteer you still need to have 2 yrs on this base before you can deploy and i dont have that much time on base yet. so i still have to wait. so its not just for some woman. Trust me i want to experience what its like over there. but i cant yet.

That is a great attitude. I served many years ago, and I have friends who are still serving, so on their behalf as well, I appreciate the respect. Wish more people understood that kind of thing.

dont worry about it. i get alot worse from peeps back at home in cali (home of the hippies) just about me in the military ya know. My friend leaves next year in Sept. for the sandbox.

Quick update,, The 1stLTL RJ Jackson of the Marines will be at my daycare center on monday, he is going to give us and update on the other members and we get to have a Q and A session.. I plan on getting pics of him and finding out about my Penn Pal I was sending care packages to..

Aparently,, we sent more packages over than any other family.. I didn't know that, but was happy to know it.
