Wildfires in San Diego

Hey fellas, I'm in San Diego and there are some crazy wildfires going on down here. I'm safe where I'm at right now, but terribly saddened and worried for those affected by the fires (some of which are friends of mine). We may also have to start evacuating soon. Please keep everyone here in SD in your thoughts and prayers. I appreciate it guys.

yh i seen that on the news.... could be an effect of global warming... news says its effected 700 people seriously... and the city has a population of 1.2 million

On my way in this morning is was stated that over 68,000 where displaced and over half a million home's affected..

What is messed up is how fast people are coming to the aid of the fires in San Diego, compared to Katrina disaster.

well there was a conspiracy with the hurricane katrina aid... New Orleans was one of the main cities effected... the city also has an african american majority... black people thought it was because of their race aid was not sent as efficiently as it should be to them... but yes san diego is getting better help than the katrina disaster

It's sad to say that we still live in a world like that..

To me as a firefighter it doesn't make a bit of difference if your african american or caucasian or what color your skins is. I will meet the danger head on or rescue someone in the face of danger. To hell with what color your skin is..

I wish I could get time off to help out.

thanks for the thoughts and prayers guys, there are so many families that have been devastated by the tragedies. My school has not evacuated us yet, luckily. Hopefully the situation will begin to improve soon...

at ING ive talked to a few individuals that live in San Diego, you all are in my thoughts and prayers and i wish you and your family and friends the best of luck...keep you head up and know that the rest of the nation is thinking about you.
