I'll try to give my opinion without trying to bring in any morality :-D

For me I think a man has is a guy that is a productive member in society (to some extent), not that they would have to be a saint and give money to the poor and work at homless shelters but at least to the point where they don't become counterproductive.

You could sit on your ass all day, but if you go through your building and slaughter everyone, thats not good for local business and all that.

I agree with what Beefaaaay infered about men being defined as men when they are interested in only women. Im sure people will say homosexuality is genetic, but impregnating women is only capable with sperm and egg. At the base level of things men have sex with women so they have kids, thats the circle of things. The whole point of being with a woman is so that you can pick which genes you like.

With that said men should also show some degree of masculenity. Be assertive, be a leader, do things on your own terms when you can. I'm sure most guys go for position of alpha male in their group of friends, not all guys are top dog and don't have to be, just don't be the guy they boss around.

Emotion wise men shouldn't be afraid to show any POSITIVE emotion. When your team wins, celebrate, when your teams rival loses, celebrate, scream, roar, pound your chest. I dont think men should cry in public unless its something VERY painful, physically painful. Other than that, do it in private.

Its fine to admit you have a problem emotion wise if things are happening to you. But like these emo kids, they post pictures of themselves crying and all that, its celebrating weakness. Not just physical weakness, but in character.
