First off, no real spoilers in my next post.
Now, im pretty good at halo. But for me to take around seven hours to beat the game on heroic is pretty upsetting. a couple of notes on this subject
- Heroic was very easy
- Boss battles are a cakewalk
- The environments are very repetitive. forest, tree's, forest, trees, building.
- out of the seven hours to beat the game, roughly an hour was spent backtracking through levels (the game forced you to do this multiple times.)
- Best addition--the new weapons, grenades, deployabnle cover, etc... gave some more veriety and depth.
- Graphically, not a large step up from halo 2.
- The story: not easy to follow. Bungie could have added about five more minutes of footage throughout to clear up some cloudy areas. at one point i didnt even know what was going on until i made it to the next movie.
- the addition of a point system is great
- new vehicles, although difficult at first, are very useful and fun.
Overall, i think i needed to start on legendary. But some of these things could have been helped with more time put in (mainly graphics, the details of the environment sometimes only show once your around 5 feet away, faces are blocky ect.. as always it will be compared to what gears of war accomplished.)
Have not had the chance to try multiplayer, but from what i've heard its amazing. however, halo started off with the concentration around the story mode, and i think that they should have followed that throughout.
