have any of you guys done charity work?

i for one have done a bunch for cf..they have cf walks everyyear in different locations...ive done a bunch of those and donated $$ to help get this shitty ass disease cured!!

i also help with my stepdads mentally challenged daughter..shes 26 but acts like shes 3...but shes a trip to take care of..but as long as i can lend a helping hand its all good

what about you guys? any charity stuff done?

At my school, it's mandatory to have 40 hours of Community Service in order to graduate. Not sure if that's just in Ontario, but that's an example. I also do "Lift For Cures" and "Walk/Run-a-thons" for a whole bunch of stuff. I like the lift for cures though because I get my dad to get donations from EVERYONE he knows (and he knows a boatload of people) One time I nearly got $1,500 for the Lift For Cures. I'm always glad to help out

I help with a breast cancer walk, tutor people (I know not a charity) and will soon be a volunteer emt.

yeah i have done habitat for humanity, and when i played football in hs and college we used to do alot of walks/runs for different diseases.

This is not considered charity work,, when I gave blood I gave it specifically to Cancer patients that would get blood transfusions. So I donated to replenish what they use.. I did it when my mom had stage 3 Ovarian Cancer, we where the same blood type so I gave to replenish what she used up in Transfusions.

I plan on Upping the Ante on charity work now that I'm an active member of the community. Aside from being a Volunteer firefighter my name will in the future be a household name in my community..

My methodist church does Habit for Humanity to other countries, so I will participate in this alot,, I'm an experienced carpenter, woodworker, electrican, plumber, landscaper and mechanic, cars, trucks, and some heavy equipment. Bet you didnt know I could do all that huh..

I just gave blood about a week ago. I am B- which is critically needed. Too bad the nurse didn't stick me good enough so I was only able to give one unit. I give it every 56 days. I am also on the list as a bone marrow donor but nobody has matched so far. Crossing my fingers.
