Well I have been back in drills and this will be my second week. The Chief knows about my situation and he is cool with me being back.. He actually said " Just to be carefull and thanks for being dedicated to the company"..
WOW,,,, that was so cool coming from him.. Truth be told he has not said a word to me since I was tapped in.. Believe it.
Watch my luck, we well get a fire call.. I swear to god if we do I'm on the truck..

Got tested last night on getting into my gear in a minute or less..and exiting the Engine and Rescue vehicles
Happy to say that I got into mine,, ( mind you this was outside in the bitter cold ) in 40 seconds..
I'm now certified in gear apparatus installation( if you will).. I guess of a lack of a better term, that's why that call it that.. who knows,, it was cold as a bitch..
Getting out of the vehicles is pretty easy, just making sure you check your surroundings before you exit the truck, and use a 3 point hand position grip while exiting.. Simple but over looked a lot.
The class is kinda fun and at the same time boring.. The terminology is not used in everyone's station. So you need to tweek it a bit to fit your station.
