i was in the TA for 4 years as a physical training officer, i was a 2nd lieutenant due for promotion to lieutenant, but left because of an eye injury i had through kickboxing...im now a civilian instructor that never bothers turning up, lol
the main thing you will have to worry about is cardio, & general fitness & endurance...not to mention a strong mentality towards things...PURE GRUNT arrogant attitude but with a boundary though
do things like press ups, over hang pull ups, shuttle runs, jogs, log runs(if u can), squats, deads...
best things to do will be general circuit training, boxercise, light weights, high reps, & work ALOT on cardio...
stick a rucksack on fill it with books & run till your legs give way & you wanna throw up...
if u want a training program let me know
