me and a few mates was thinking (one of which came from bbd.com he knows who he is

) about making a radio station.
think about what it would be like if i was a host? ive got the microphone so i could say whatever i wanted!

so help me out guys... what could i do to get a proper radio station happening and make it a serious success?? any idea is a good idea and if i make it big, the benefits to those who have helped along the way will be great indeed.

well the kind of music i would play on the radio is stuff that people hardly have heard of but is very good stuff.
i mean how many times have you heard Metallica, Megadeth, Venom, Black Sabbath, Perfect Circle, Tool, Iced Earth, Dimmu Borgir, Celtic Frost, Shadows Fall, In Flames, Kreator, Godsmack, Hammerfall, Dragonforce, Mayhem, ect. and the countless other metal bands out there on the radio?????
there is nothing wrong with this stuff, lots of people are into it, but for real, which radio station plays this sort of stuff? NOBODY. i bleieve there is a HUGE demand for more metal to be played on the radio. not just typical heavy metal, but black, death, speed, thrash, gothic, ect metal.
not to mention there is a SHITLOAD of underground metal bands here.. all new shit.. they can have a chance to come in and play live to a broader audience.

Self Help Hour: same as the self help thread of mine, but imagine hearing that stuff on the radio???? it would be an instant hit. how successful that thread is on bbd.com determins how much i feel it would be worth making it a special segment on radio.. so keep comming with your problems you sicko's!!!! i want that thread to reach 10+ pages!

special guests: as i mentioned earlier, aside from the immense talent being spawnd around these parts i live in, you fellows from bbd.com could call in.. this will be called "The Dungeon"... talk in person, over the phone, to other members of bbd.com how cool would that be??!! i would CUM if i could talk to some of you guys.

see, now i figured im pretty much a celebrity around these parts anyway. i have people come up to me outa nowhere and just go on and on about me. "hey your jesse!!! wats cracken man, long time no see!" and seriously i havent seen these people in my entire life. my name is one known to thousands of people. not to mention one of my greatest mates, and comedy genious Scott who is also just as broadly well known. this is a huge boost for the radio.

Advertising and funding: nothing soo far. all i know is i need money and lots of it.

also, it should be noted that i intend on running my own gyms. you fellas know how i like it.. HARDCORE to the bone.
there are houses near where i live which have been abandoned for 20+ years. these are run down like nothing you've ever seen. they could reduce a blind man to crying. they are perfect.
and theres more than one house too.. theres at least 3.
i intend to purchase them, and the land they are on, and make gym's out of them.
in this area, it is fairly good for traffic, school buses go past here and there is no competition for a long drive.

i am literally standing on a gold mine. my idea's might be wild and crazy, but i have enough beleif in myself and enthusiasm to make it work.. what say you guys at the dungeon??
ohh and btw, the gym franchise will coincidently be named "The Dungeon"

so this radio going to be world wide ? or streamed? is there going to be a live dj or something?

i have not thought about that. streamed possibly, maybe a feature exclusive to bbd.com - well at least certain parts will be exclusive to bbd.com which noone else will have access to, but for most part, it will be local.
no live DJ's... the concept of my idea came from a desire to listen to shit that wasnt always top 40 crap, or the same old folks shit that is played over and over again which never changes.

see im a metal man.. i dont hear much metal at all on the radio, if i do, its the same old shit.. TNT, Paranoid, Born To Be Wild, ect.
there is more to metal than just that. just like there is more to rap and RnB than snoop dogg or the pussy cat dolls, but because i hate that shit i couldent care less.
there will be no live DJ's.. but plenty of live metal.
i went to a metal gig about a month or two ago and i was highly impressed by what i had experienced.
now these guys either
1) want to make it as big as they can, or
2) remain underground
now i figured if there playing live and stuff, then they want to make a certain amount of fame from this, they can do that too by playing at my station.
either way, my radio station is KEY for these guys.

ive seen the amount of people that go to these "small" gigs...there are hundreds of the fuckers.. (including emo, but i dont give a shit, theyd be paying my wages so its all good). it would be a big hit to these guys who could just come home from school and be able to flick the radio on and listen to THIER kind of music and not someone elses. you feel me bro?
in the car, at school, bus, home, anywhere i go where there is a radio im listening to music which is ment for someone else, but not for me. i want to listen to MY stuff. thats why this will work, thats why i thought of this idea, thats why im going to go through with it, and thats how im gonna make it big time.

Streaming on the internet should be much cheaper than actually setting up a traditional radio station.

If you need funds, though, I bet if you posted some pictures of yourself, holding a sign that reads: "MGAEK" or something, you'd become rich! You'd have all the money you needed for the radio, but probably wouldn't have to set it up. Because you'd be rich! Rich I tell you.

I start making private or public youtube videos. This will give you experience and something to show real backers if you are indeed serious about starting your own radio station. I would definitley get my start on youtube if I were you.

thanks..i know i can do this, i just cant do it alone. ill need all the help i can get.
this thing CAN work and has huge potential, if it dont work out, its because i delibaratly fucked up.

aside from youtube (which is, as i quote something along the lines of "a place where all the retards and inbreeds of the world like to congregate on") what other area's could i explore and look into to get the radio going?
