I was never more than a social smoker. But i'm done with this sh*t, makes your throat hurt and makes you lazy. Not to mention the health aspects of it. Why would I try so hard to put good food inside me when i'm gonna also put some toxic sh*t in my system. It doesn't make sense.

Anyways, i figure this thread will also help me keep on track. My life has been good lately, the only reason i start up is usually after some depressing sh*tty moments, no need.

Plus, thats some weak ass sh*t. I'm above that, beyond that, smoking is like eating mcdonalds, you're just the f*cking cattle.

Good luck. I'd say that would be a more important thing to concentrate on at this time rather than diet, etc. So if you quit and feel the need to pig out don't worry about it too much. In the long run you're much better eating a tub of ice cream and a pack of hot dogs than if you continue smoking.

im almost tempted to take up smoking just to see how bad the cravings really are and then beat them. but, i'd rather not put that shit through my system just for this little test.

Thats a really good idea to quit. Not only is it bad for you, its bad for your wallet. And if theres no green inbetween, then you have no beef to cuisine.

I guess i'll keep this updated every couple days/each week on progress.

Day 1, its cool, had an urge after work, so to keep my cool i checked this thread and then went to the gym. Definatly did the trick.

After a chest/tri day with 20min of cardio, the last thing you want to do is breath anything BUT air into your lungs.

On a side note, running feels much better since i upped my leg routine, very happy about that.

Thats great man. When you stop smoking all together for a long time your taste should come back in full tow. When my grandfather stopped smoking he said that his taste got sharper, apparently smoking dulls it down for a while.

1 week down. So far so good.

I went to a wedding shower/party on Saturday, i actually felt good not to walk outside and have a smoke.

I felt above it. Feels good.
