I think it would be hard to choose really, someone like Mike Tyson at his peak would be high up on the list, but Bruce Lee would probably be at the top. He didn't rely totally on power, he had skill and control, which allowed him to do amazing things. He could rip heavy punch bags from the wall, and throw them across his garden with one kick.

According to this:

Quote:
"Bruce was incredibly strong for his size. He could take a 75lb barbell and from a standing position with the barbell held flush against his chest, he could slowly stick his arms out, lock them and hold the barbell there for 20 seconds, that's pretty damn tough for a guy who at the time only weighed 138lbs. I know 200lb weight lifters who can't do that."
He was pretty powerful.

I know this guy with some nunchucks, I thought they were a pretty weak weapon compared to a bat, but they are deadly. This guy could do some pretty good stuff with them, I wouldn't like to cross him when he had them. I tried to do a simple trick with them, and I managed to hit the back of my head with them, and it really hurt, even when I only tapped my head. They are made of pretty hard wood.

Do you think Bruce Lee could take the top mma fighters of today lb for lb? It is a curious question to ponder.

bruce lee never fought in competitions so who knows just how talented he was, chuck norris said bruce routinely kicked his ass in sparring, bruce would have had to learn grappling techniques etc etc to compete with the mma guys. Bruce walked around at 120-140lb usually we dont tend to see mma guys of that weight fight

Actually mma organizations are exploring the possibility of introducing another weight class lower than what is currently lightweight (146-155lbs). I agree with you though it is not common for most mma fighters to be @ that low of a weight.

Did Chuck Norris ever say that he could beat Bruce Lee? I remember him alluding to it in that he was a tournament fighter and Lee was not but he didn't outright say it.
