i used to like a lot of that. still do, but ive moved into movie music lately. i write stuff sometimes, so i think its fun to listen to music set to a specific story, then try to pull your own story out of it. still, the last 2 SYL albums and Nightwish's Once are rocking my metal word for the moment.

Heh, there was a time about 3 years ago when I was obsessed with Iced Earth - I've still got all the albums, plus ALIVE IN ATHENS on special-edition vinyl. Nowadays I find everything after the first 3 albums to be a little...throwaway.

I don't listen to as much metal now, but Judas Priest is still far and away my favourite metal band; especially the first 4 albums, plus UNLEASHED IN THE EAST. Great stuff.

I'm a guitarist, so I mostly listen to anything that catches my attention guitar-wise.
