He was definitely strong; I've never doubted said fact. Although being in "sports entertainment" requires mental acuity as well as physical prowess. When he throws out half-hearted lines such as, "I'm the fightingest(?) champion ever!"; makes me cringe a bit.
I'm sorry though MexicanMuscle, but I couldn't make it through the second video. The music was layered death; trash metal interposed over Linkin Park, couldn't he decide? The dialogue was also hilarious, but it was just too much.
An F-5 to the Big Show is impressive, but that superplex spot was just as ridiculous to see now as it was when I saw it on Smackdown. A superplex basically means that he being suplexed jumps, while the attacker guides him down; no great strength required. The collapsing ring was a little crazy, but about three seconds after it happened, the cheap pop that it was came to light to me.
Chris Jericho was doing the double powerbomb years before Lesnar even hit the scene, so that wasn't all that impressive to me; Y2J was doing it to Chris Benoit probably about the same time Brock was slandering pro wrestling in the pages of SI. Throwing around the Hardys is also pretty weak, kind of like the Great Khali killing cruiserweights. What's the point? Destroying smaller wrestlers is another cheap pop, as the size differences are usually ridiculous.
See the portion of the vid when he dropped A-Train on the back of his neck? The move that put Albert out for nearly a year? Very similar to WCW's Souled Out of '97, when another sloppy big man(Kevin Nash) dropped the Giant right onto the back of his neck during a failed jacknife powerbomb attempt. I'd fear Brock as well, namely working with him because he was dangerous and not too bright in the ring.
I apologize though; I've turned this into little more than a flame thread. Brock Lesnar was very strong, there's no doubting that. If he really did run down country roads with a log on his shoulder, that's pretty dang impressive to me. Climbing stairwells with heavy dumbbells was also pretty nuts. Although personally the whole tub of
ice thing seemed a little off, but hey, to each his own.
