What is the purpose of sweetcorn? As in, what is it's nutritional benefit. As I can only assume it has none for it comes out exactly as it goes in. Why do we eat it, other than to give our shit a different texture and pattern to it.

ive always wondered the same, you can chomp it, bite it, and chew teh hell out of it yet its as if it regenerates somehow and puts itself back together, its a bizzare vegetable and is beyond me or anyone i know...
