Ya Davinci Code is in the Fiction section only because they ran out of room in the Non-Fiction section, not because what is written is completely madeup and grounded in almost no legitimate evidence. But hey who knows there are about 20 of his years unspoken for he could have been a professional bodybuilder in the meantime.

You do know my entire post was sarcastic right? Just checking. Because I am aware that the novel is FICTION and people who think its fact are stupid. Even dumber are the christian organizations that go to the movie and try and ruin the experience for others by laughing at inopportune times. If those people were secure in their religious beliefs there would be no reason to disrupt a movie for others. It pissed me off because I liked the movie. I'm catholic and I couldn't care less that they made a fiction movie about Jesus. What I think is an embarassment to the entire religion is the militant assholes who try and fight against anything that does not support their own religion. Sorry about the rant. That is all i got to say about that.

I just cant comprehend the fact how there is absolutly no evidence that he actually existed, no writings, no paitings/sculptures, just depictions from people who supposivly knew him

Actually there is evidence that a man by the name of Jesus did exist and was crucified around the time of Julius Ceasar. As for many of the other aspects it is true there is little evidence. And it's not too hard to believe that there would be minimal historical evidence. Because back then there was no media, or printing presses, or newcasters, or any means of spreading news especially of somebody who was not a kings, csar, emporer... News of a man like Jesus Christ probably would not have spread throughout the world at a time like then because he was not of high status.

Dan Brown has never said that anything in his controversial novel is fact. He has repeatedly stated its a work of fiction. Nonetheless the book was great, far above the already high expectations set by his other novels like Angels and Demons and Digital Fortress. Still many people, uneducated as well as educated, believe the novel has instances of fact for several reasons I wont get into here. Heres an idea, lets get all butthurt over a novel which only stretches the truth slightly while there are several works being published as nonfiction attempting to disprove Christianity completely.. makes sense.
BTW Im not trying to diss on you Ben, just venting a bit. This fucking moron my sister brought home the other night started this big argument over this same topic, when I asked if he read the book his reply was no. Just so everyones clear... ITS FICTION.
