ever fight your dad???

tonite we had a poker thing goin on at my sisters fiances place and my dad was there with us.. i was drinking.. some home made shit.. but anyways to make the long story short.. i got aggresive for some reason tonite and couldnt put up with shit... my dad and I ended up having a fist fight. i didnt really have a great childhood with my dad, and when you combine that with booze, stuff that you dont want to happen does... i never thought shit would break down like that especially at my age.. my lip is swollen like a mofo.. anyways sorry i had to vent a bit.. hope you all had a great nite.. i know i DID NOT

I remember when I was living at home and I was at college, I phoned this girl up fairly late one night and was talking to her for a while, and then my dad picked up one of the other phones in the house and told me that he was trying to sleep and to hang up and not phone people this late - while she was on the phone to me so she heard it. So I apologized to her, hung up and then walked upsatirs into my dad's room and shouted" If you ever do that again I will beat the shit out of you, don't think I can't!" And he just lay there quietly in bed.
Needless to say, me and my dad never really got on either.

yea.. i dont know how old you were when your dad did that to you.. but u gotta realize that you are living in his house, and if you are keeping him awake then he has every right to do what he did.. just my opinion...
similar thing happened to me... mom came right in my room and was like its 3am get off the phone... and you shouldnt be talkin to girls this late! I was pissed.. but didnt say anything.. i mean.. its hard to yell at your mom..

no but one day im sure it will come. ive done karate for many years and also my love for wrestling will take over which it shouldnt but ive never gotten along with him really well
but also with that phone kind of shit - they never done it when they were younger (my dad was born 1960's) so they never had phones - just dont undestand todays new technology and that you're using it for your own social life so they dont want u to i think
im not looking for a fight - but if it happens i wont hold back

I couldn't lay a hand on a family member, I've had many opportunitys. I've been hit countless times on drunken escapades, I'd never hit back though, because once I start I wouldn't be able to stop. Hell I've even been stabbed, and I didn't do anything back, except get some tissues

It was only in the arm, and with a butterknife lol. I could still open the wound with my fingers though. I only have good control over my temper with my family, anyone else I have a short fuse with if they push the right buttons lol.
