Let me get this straight.

The cop stops a guy because he might be a convicted criminal and then they guys seems to fit in the profile, so he lets him go?

the cop was just a good guy i guess, too nice to be effective 'cause scum are real good at exploiting that character trait, it's just scary to watch

then again, maybe loners who hang around train tracks in undershirts are a normal thing down there, who knows

it really doesn't matter...he can take him in for suspicion. if a guy is randomly walking around and fits the description of a convict then there is no excuse.

even if the police officer didn't think he entirely matched the description, the fact that he has no address should have been a red flag. or the fact that he gave a very generic name.

I think the police officer would be less at fault had he conducted himself like an officer should, and not act like a complete goofball.

you know, now that i think about it, maybe deep down the cop knew that he might be the guy, but chose to do nothing out of fear of what might happen if he took action. he was dealing with an escaped murderer, sh*t could've gotten ugly real fast...apathy is a sad reality these days
