Is anyone actually surprised? It's no secret that when we take a country we leave our troops there forever. We still have 30,000-60,000 a piece in Germany, Japan, and South Korea.

But, yes, this definitely sucks for our troops. Perhaps only 30 or so percent support the war now, but I'm betting about 99.999% want them to come home safely, and soon.

It's a smart move on Bush's part, because in 2008 when he leaves the office in the US, he'll need to have an army to protect him when he becomes the president of Iraq.......you know it's going to happen.

LOL

Seriously though, yeah we all saw that this was going to happen and I'm certaintly not going to waste my energy going into every little detail and indication of why it led to this. My mom's boyfriend lost a nephew in Iraq and his family was very grief stricken and even an anti-war campaigner like me knows there's a difference between people and politics and was able to set aside my differences to offer my condolensces. I do wish all our troops the best because they're certaintly not to blame and I hope as many as possible can return safely.

^^Thats a good thing. I never get involved in politics but here we go. I was in United States Air Force for the start of the Afghanistan invasion. I agree with that war and I know alot of soldiers lost their lives because of it. I was there flying in the C-130's getting RPG's shot at me and landing in hot zones. I got the PIX to prove it. I really really dont think we should be in IRAQ. I think going into that country opened the door for England and the US to get more bombings. Bush is an idiot and this war was for his father. Because his father couldnt do it right the first time. Later Gents!!!!!

it's not possible. the president can only stay president for two terms, and this is Bush's second term. so in 2008, Bush has to pack his bags.
