Anyone have a faster pc than me? lol my 1.6ghz is converting an real player format as slow as a turtle trying to make it from cali to ny...

Im converting one of my old dvds.

Does anyone else use these type of converters?

Just for the sake of conversation of course :P

well what i was trying to say, does anyone use converters to make SVCD's cus the ones i make don't play in my DVD player. either that or my dvd player doesnt support it which sucks.

You have to get a DVD player that supports all formats.

then your dvd player either doesn't support your media (cd-r brand) or it doesn't play (s)vcd's.

I don't wish to sound patronising, but this (Nero) might do it! It's a CD/DVD Burning piece of software that will convert/burn most things to, well, CD and DVD.

It really has nothing to do with the converting software. They all convert the same way. The problem lies with either the media (cd/dvd) or the actual dvd player. Some dvd players don't play (s)vcds, but you can search for your dvd player model here:

http://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers

and see what type of media it plays, and whether or not can play (s)vcds.

Agreed Tech, player format is essential. A bit like Tri's and Bi's...one won't work without the other!!
