Hey everyone
Im 17 years old, play high school football and wrestling so i started lifting to give myself an edge in both of my sports. I love lifting its pretty much what i do with about 60 % of my time. Tell me if you think i have a future in the sport

and weigh 209

got some size to you, bud you could be 5'9" and if you want a future in bodybuilding bad enough you can have one...plan around and get your ducks in a line to really decide where and what you want to do. because what you want to do now may not be what you want to do later on in life, but hobbies will always be there when you need them. bodybuilding isnt just a routine thing, its a way of life so live it and best of luck to you in the future with everything. any questions let us know, we'll be glad to help you.

^^Very well said kirk. We have a lot of guys here, such as myself, who play football, wrestle, do track, and play A LOT of other sports. But I'm sure everyone here would be glad to help you out. It's also good to have some big guys too. I'm 6"4 1/2 and close to 280.

Well i planned to wrestle HWT but ohio high school Ath. Ass. put in a rule that you have to weigh over 210 to wrestle hwt(285) and after two weeks of 2-a-days. ive already dropped down to 209... I always seem to drop alot of weight in wrestling season usually about 10 pounds just naturally from workin out so intensly ever day. So my geuss is ill end up wrestling 215.

Then you really must be a prodigy. I find them quite hard to believe for a few main reasons:

1. Those numbers are huge for your age. There are powerlifters here that barely surpass your numbers and they are 10 yrs older than you. Hell compare to Layne's maxes and you either surpass him or are very close to matching him and I don't believe that at 17.

2. Your numbers are conveniently rounded. (400 bench and 600 dead).

I am not trying to start **** with ya just saying that if you ask 100 people on this board if a 17 yo can post those kind of numbers 98 are going to say NO!

Hell you might give Kevin Nee a run for his money if you compare his numbers when he was 17. If they are valid I would start enter powerlifting comps.

I understand your suspicion with my lifts. I understand that they sound a little TOO high for my age. Ive been gettin it all my life. Im used to it by now. the lifts were competition lifts and i have videos of them but i dont know how to transfer them from my phone to the computer. And im from O-H-I-O if you check the records all of those lifts are around 25-30 pounds from the teenage records set only a few years ago. Were corn fed and strong here. Its not all that unusuall for someone my age to put up weight like that.

And another thing those are currents, not my all time highs. I tore my labrum almost a year ago and didnt lift for around 6 months. Before my surgery my bench was up to 425 now granted i was almost 30 pounds heavier but still.

Im very thankful for that 2% that would back me up!

If I had some vids of when I competed, I'd put them up. But I was a dumb ass and didn't bring a camera with me. If I get that high again in the gym, I'll get one of my buddies to get the vid on my phone.

naw I actually just graduated high school and will be playing at Amherst College this coming year, I wish I had those lift stats but I have to run so damn much and I'm thinking that a 4.6 40 is pretty good... you ever get any awards such as all-region or all-state?

I was All-district last year at OT.
Yea speed and flexablility is something i was really worries about but since my surgery i dropped like 30 pounds but i got a lot quicker and during our combine this year i ran a 4.7 40 so i was pretty pumped about that.
