Hey Guys,

Thought I would post some pics here as my "before" shots, as it's been a LONG time since I've been in the gym seriously. It's been 4 years since I've trained consistently.

When I was really training it was 5 days a week, basically for 4 years. Would have time off when I felt tired, or wanted a break. Got to the point were I was 112kgs (246lbs), my bodyfat has always been 'relaxed'. I'm about 6' 3" and I've just turned 32.

Decided that I've started to turn into a tub'o'lard and it's time to get BIG :)

Feel free to comment on the pics. These were taken Dec 06, I'll take some more today and add them so we can see if there's been any change over the last 3 months.

Hey, thanks guys.

I wish I'd read your reply re:side chest before I took these after my workout today.

Not a great deal has changed, but I figure these are current pics and now I've got something to work from.

It's so embarrassing, I look at these and realise how much size I've lost over the years. Oh well, Let the games begin, off to get some protein powder

EDIT: Rather that start a new post, I'm 32 and I weight 105.6kgs (232lbs) with sneakers on. Body fat according to those electronic scales is 26% :(

Don't depend on the electric scales too much. You don't look 26 percent body fat. Callipers are much more dependable than electric detections.

Hey, thanks for the positive feedback.

I've got myself some PVL Elite Essentials "Whey Pro Elite 80" it's WPI

I figure I'll start knocking that back a few times a day, start working out 5 days a week again, plus try and get a cardio session in too. I usually start my work outs with 10min on the bike, then maybe 15min at the end. Maybe that will do? Will post another set of pics in a months time. Be prepared for a big difference :)

Dont go by what the scale tells you your bf% is at, mine tells me that I'm 24%. Looking forward to some progress pics, but like thefreak350 said you've got a good base and you will probably find that your muscles will respond quite quickly because of your previous lifting experience.

Well guys its been about a month since I posted those previous pics and here are some more. I'm pretty disappointed in them as I've compared them to the previously set and there is almost no difference. I look very flat in these. Having said that though, my body feels much harder than before, my stomach is noticeably flatter as well.

Over the last month I've been working out when I can, but in total it's only been about 8 workouts as my work life has kept me very busy. I've been watching my diet though. Dinner has basically been rice & fish every night. Take out only once a week, unfortunately it was McDonalds last night, so that probably didn't help these pics. I have however, been drinking protein shakes probably 3 times a day (some as meals) and have knocked off 2kgs of protein in the last month.

I'm weighing 102.5 kbs (225lbs) and the electronic scales say 25% bf.

As a bodybuilder the one thing we have to realize is that progress is a Loooonnnnng road and results are not just around the corner. It's gonna take a while to get your body back into the shape that it used to be so dont get discouraged, results will come slowly but surely.

I'm already seeing improvements from first to last pics dude. So good work.

It can be really hard to make time. The biggest struggle for me is eating correctly when with friends and family, and making time for the gym. When family needs me, or when they are offering to help me with stuff (currently rebuilding my garage) I need to be available during their timeslot... which is typically my gym time.

So I hear ya, it's a bit of a balancing act, but it's totally worth it man.

Well I've been lurking and working out.

It's been a few months since my last update, actually **** it's been a year! My training was all over the place.

I finally got into a gym in Oct 07, so I've been in the gym about 6 mths. All the previous stuff was with weights at home.

These pics are from mid Jan 08, I'll post some new updated ones in about a week, as I've just had some time off due to travel.

Yeah I know I'm a hairy bastard :p but the next ones will be shaved :)

Also, I'm now 33 :) and weigh 231 lbs and electronic scales put me at 25.5%

Thanks guys! :)

Yeah my back has always responded well to training. Probably has to do with 4 years of rowing at school

Updated pictures were going to be this weekend, but I purchased some more NO-Xplode (just had a cycle off it), as well as Gakic, Leukic & Creakic (Muscletech) and my workouts have gone crazy!!! So I'm going to hold off another week before I update the photo's.

I feel like my body is already tighter (I've been doing some swimming as well), so I'll be very interested to see people's opinions on the new pics :)

Well I wanted to hold off a week before doing these photo's, as I wanted to see what effect some supplements I was taking might have.

Good news is I feel the supplements worked, bad news is I've been fighting the flu for the last 2 days. So I felt weak when posing for these.

I feel I've put on some decent mass in places, my weight is 236 lbs and I've given up trying to figure out what my bodyfat is, but I've felt that it's dropped in the last few weeks.

I tried some photo's in another room to try and get some better lighting, hence the changes. Also ignore my cheesy grin in a couple of them :)

Is it just me, or is my right side lagging substancially behind the left side? I knew they would be different, but I was surprised at how much. Anyone know how long it takes the body to balance out? Also my lat spread is lopsided because I bumped into the door

I probably should have taken some photo's of my legs, but I'm not too worried about them as they are growing pretty damn fast, so I'm happy with them.

Comment away :)
