Hi everyone,

Lets see....

I am 37, have been lifting seriously for nearly a year now, just finished my first BB season and came away with 2 3rd places and 1 4th at an NPC show in Charleston.

I started out at 154 around 28% bf in October last year and hopped on the scale at Excalibur 122 and water depleted to 119 the next day at around 11% bf not bad huh?

I am finally back to lifting heavy doing 5x5's and finally starting to get sore again which is a welcome feeling. I hate cardio and chicken & rice but have to admit they work and thats why I keep doing them!!

Thank you very much.

I am now in the off season and looking to put on between 5-7 pounds of good healthy thickness on my back, hams and glutes. I have an amazing trainer and he hasn't done me wrong yet so I plan on sticking with him this off season for my strength training as well as nutrition.

My next season will most likely fall like this:

The Palmetto (Early May)

South Carolina State Championships (late May)

Southern Isles (June 9th)

and one more that I haven't sat down and picked yet.

I want the comps I do to all fall within a 6 week period so that I don't have to stay to lean for too long. Estrogen and staying lean for too long does nasty things to a girls body and I am just not up for that.

I had to stay lean for four weeks longer this year then I should have to do the Excalibur in Charleston and as a result I dealt with a lot of fatigue and exhaustion so I won't be doing that comp again as it isn't close to any other comps I am interested in doing.

Had some ******* recently tell me that I should give up body building and do Figure because I just didn't have "what it takes" to do women's BBing but when I asked him to tell me just "what it takes" to work my ass off (literally in my case) and get up on stage all he could tell me was that whatever it was I didn't have it.

I have 12.5 inch arms, a 37 inch chest, 26 inch waist, 20 inch quads and I still look like a girl... so if I don't have what it takes would someone please tell me what it is so I can go get it?? *lol*

Personally I think I look damn good. I'm a size 4 now and used to be a size 10 and I get checked out by more men now at 37 than I ever got at 27 so I'm doing something right :)

Props for the progress so far, and doing that good in comps your first year is definetly a bonus! .... IMO very good back ..shredded in the pics .... keep up the good work though, good to see some females active on this board lol

and also..tell that guy to shove it ...you should bust out a Tyra is numero uno shirt (like arnold) an smile at him haha :)

I dont like the look of those huge body builder woman, but you look nice. Your face is pretty nice eyes, and your not to huge, still got a nice feminine physique. You are looking pretty good, sorry if this was a double edged compliment( hope I am using that term correctly). But all in all you look GREAT. keep up the great work.

I totally understood what you meant!

I don't like the looks of girls who roid or do HGH either. Way to manly for me and the last thing I think any man finds atractive is a woman packing a big "mangina" *shiver*

So thank you for the wonderful compliment. I like being little and girly. Will try to post some newer pics now that I am in my "fat stage" which isn't really all that fat but it sure looks like it to me *lol*

Seriously, for one year, that is amazing. do you have a pic from before you started bbing?

I am 5 months into bbing, and I still can't see competing for at least 2-3 years, I have to much to improve on.

Don't go too far. Ananvar can be used safely by women and children. 5 to 10mg a day for 10 to 12 weeks before a contest would be all you need. A male would use 60 to 100mg per day, just to show the difference.

Why any woman wouldn't want to look more like me than a walking tub of jell-o I can't figure out for the life of me, other than just sheer laziness and over active table indulgence.

I mean my husband has always been good about givin me luvin, but at 154 pounds I wasn't what you would call eye candy by any means.

But now that I am 128, a total fitty and now a competitor he can't keep his friggin hands off me!! So now I would have to say that I have moved to the category of being completely over sexed rather than under sexed. *lol*

But then again thats just what keeps me going to the gym. I have always told him "I don't care where you get your appetite as long as you eat at home" well now he doesn't even do visual shopping, he only has eyes for my butt!!

I am 100% natural, no pills, no injections nothin. Just lots of good food, whole food suppliments, some creatine and a decent fat burner in the count down weeks to compete. Nothin else.

That kind of stuff may work for other women, but it doesn't for me. I like being able to choose between Nat shows and mixed without a second thought.

My pics are in the next thread down if you want to see, not fishing for compliments, or anything. Just so you can see how much you got done in one year. My before pic is 6 months ago.

I usually vary my workouts between a 4x8-12 the first set being a lower weight warm up and the last set being a burn out round. The other is a classic 5x5 routine as heavy as I can stand. When I do this with legs I usually can't walk very well the next day *lol*

The 5x5 is the routine that I usually put on most of my size and the other grinds down my orgination and insertion points to make the muscle bellys look even larger.

All I know it is works for me.

Here was me and the hub 4 weeks after my last comp... huge difference... a lot of work but well worth it
