you can't really say the tries are coming through because the old pic..he doesn't have the same pose..his arm is not all the way down to bring out the tri, but his new pics is a different pose...

Hard to tell if uve done some good progress or not. Just keep at it, it will take a long time before u can transform yourself. You seem to have a high bodyfat percentage, try to lower your carbs after work outs and try some cardio a couple times a week. Another important thing would be to not neglect your lower body. Training your legs and lower back will definately help u shed off some fat and help with your upper body development. Good luck bro.

My legs are not getting neglected trust me. Im squatting around 500lbs now, and workout my legs 3 days a week along with my arms 3 days a week. I run 2 miles on every leg day.

That some good running. Be sure to seperate ur cardio from ur workouts by a couple hours, so that u dont use muscle mass as energy!

What's the reasoning behind training your arms 3 days a week, if I may ask? It seems to me like that could lead to overtraining since they're relatively small muscles.

I agree, i dont see the point of working any muscle group more than twice a week unless ur on roids. Rest is is as important as what u do in the gym, keep that in mind, and squating 500lbs, i dont think thats a good idea for u right now. The best bodybuilder isnt the one who can lift heaviest, the best are those who train smart and resist injuries.

I honestly think you should re-evaulate your nutrition and training. By going off what you are posting here. It seems you are overtraining and possibly not taking in the proper macros.

I dont think hes over training, he probaly just is eating bad. Most people dont realize that eating is the biggest part of forming a body. Just 1 week of bad meals ****s u up for a while.

Eating is a huge part but running on leg days on top of his other routine looks like it 'could' be. Not that it is but i'll never know for sure. it was just a guess. His diet on the other hand is off. No doubt in my mind on that one. And his thought process behind it is flawed big time which doesn't help.

Well he may be focussing mostly on football so for now just stay strong, if you lean down alot you may lose the strength you need to be @ your best on the offensive line, dont really need a shredded up kid at line you need just big strong men their

Muscles is always better than fat, its heavier, stronger and healthier. If hes on the offensive he should be fast, which means fat is no good. Having the extra weight from fat on defense can be ok, but i dont think its good to have for offensive. In other words, if he lost fat and made it into muscle, he would be stronger and faster.

I'm not sure if you meant it like this, but it's impossible to make fat turn into muscle.

Its a figure of speech, what i mean is keep the mass he has, but instead of having fat mass, he would have muscle mass. 220 pounds of muscles > 220 pounds of fat.
