My names Colin and I'm new here to this forum. I have been lifting off and on since high school, 24 now. It seems like I would lift for about 6 months, put on some muscle, then get bored and let all my work melt away. This was all training in my own house with a barbell, bench, and dumbells where you could put on your own weight. Since february 2009 I finally joined a local gym and have been going ever since. It's the best decision I ever made because I can always switch up my routine, add more weight, and never get bored.
Since february I went from 155 lbs to 182 lbs at almost 5'11''. This is all natural with the exception of whey protein powder. I have seen somewhat of a plateau recently, but have added in some full body workouts in the week and have seen some minor gains recently, which is good. Seems i'm hooked on seeing great results now and miss that. I suppose my next thing will be to cut up somewhat just to look a bit better. I'm not overweight but it definetly couldn't hurt to lose a few percent body fat.
Also, a few weeks ago I began training in the mornings before work. Get to the gym around 5:30am. I know there's alot of mixed opinion on this, but I personally love it. It gives me so much energy throughout the day at work, and frees up my nights nicely. and honestly, I think I've even seem some improvements since going early. Maybe it's because I give myself less time and get more intense workouts be sqeezing things in, who knows.
Anyway, glad to be here and hope to learn alot of new things from this forum. Seems like a great bunch of people |
