Hey I'm kind of new around here, I have mainly just been reading alot of threads people have been posting. Well i need to ask a question myself, up coming summer months and I'm trying to lose some body fat without losing muscle mass which I am finding out is really hard. I need some advice, like different type of diet, certain foods I should be eating, should I still take a Whey protein after workouts? I'm doing cardio and everything but I feel like I'm lacking in a good diet. All help comments are welcome

Hey bro,

First off, welcome to the dungeon,

Im sure you have read Lanye Nortons pre contest diet guide that diet plan is really good for dropping weight but keeping as much muscle mass as possible, thats the diet id recommend anyway

yea it seems like a pretty complicated method and a little hard to grasp, ill post my diet and everything which like you said should get some better feedback

Eat only when hungary as many meals as that is. Get you bulk of calories from clean foods, chicken breast, fish lean red meat. And switch your carbs source for lots of green veggies(besides after weight training). No carbs after "whenever" pm.

Then post up what your plan is and we can constructively critique that plan.
Oh and diet, age, height, weight, goals would also be helpful.

i respectfully disagree with this point as a universal maxim. If I ate only when hungry, I'd be 180lbs...I'm just not ever that hungry. Instead, I figure out my caloric needs and eat every 3 hours to keep my metabolism elevated rather than 2x a day which is what i'd do if I only ate when hungry.

For some only eating when hungry might work, but for the bbing population at large I'm not sure it does.
