I'm brand new to the entire bodybuilding scene. I don't know anything about bodybuilding or getting into shape.

I've never been in shape, I'm 22 years old and I feel like I've wasted my entire life so far. I'm roughly 338lbs from the last Dr. Apt I had the 16th of last month.
This needs to change, I NEED to change.

I was nervous about joining this forum, the names, the flaming. Just putting myself out there to people I've never met. This is my last resort, the internet is my last resort. I've literally begged trainers in gyms in my area to help me, because I couldn't afford what hey wanted to charge. $500 for 3 sessions.

I'm done with the pity party, I'm GOING to change my life. I ask you people of this forum, for support, guidance, direction, strength, and motivation. Point me in the right path, and I will do my best not to disappoint any of you.

Sev.

welcome bro, great intro, I along with everyone else will do our best to steer you the right way! The first step is dieting. What do you normally eat? just to see.

Since deciding to make the change, I've tried to cut back on my beef, and fried foods. I had a sweet tooth, so I ate a lot of junk food. I mainly eat a lot of chicken breast, it tends to be friend most of the time. I need to cut that out also. I try to eat veggies more often, usually only salad stuffs so far.

beef and chicken both are gonna be your friends, just gotta have a leaner beef. you gotta try to eat 6-8 smaller meals a day.
usually looking at:
1.5-1.8g-protein
1-2g-carbs
.2-.3g-fats all per lb bodyweight.

So the protein, carbs, and fats are all per lb of weight? is that body mass or muscle?

no no, 507g while eating 6-8 meals.

CKD, is a ketogenic diet you don't take in any carbs, for 5 days than have 2 carb load days. if you want info on that ask either JakeVendetta or ThomasRivera on here.

OOOHHHH! Spread out over the entire. I got you on that now.

That CKD diet sounds pretty interesting. I'll have to ask one of them about that.

I also bend copper pipe for a living, I work ten hour days. How would I be able to add the extra meals into my work day? What would be a few good examples of that, just to get a general idea?

like a chicken and lettuce salad, or chicken and brown rice. both solid meals. oatmeal is a great source for carbs also and easy to eat.

I'm getting excited about this, you have no idea how this feels right now. I've never been fit ever in my life, but I want to so badly. I want to be able to run miles at a time, I want to be a trainer also, and own my own gym one day. But I need to lose so much weight, trying to change my eating habits just seems so daunting.

Welcome to the Dungeon Severrin!

I'm new here too, but will toss out whatever help and support I can to help you reach your goals.

Kind of reitterating the above....

Basics of the breakdown above (at 338lbs) would put you eating the following quantities of your 3 key diet groups Protein, Carbs, and Fa
