Hello all,

I am a former cyclist looking to add some mass and strength. After years of keeping the weight way down, I am looking forward to building up and not getting blown around like a leaf. I have a decent start on legs, but my upper body is about a stripped down as it can be. I don't even want to mention about what I can (or can't) bench press.

Anyway, lots of good info here and I am looking forward to reading more.

Thanks!

Gene

Welcome to the dungeon Gene. We have a lot of guys who used to run mid-long distance and some that still do from time to time.

First, you need to get a solid diet, check out post # 6:

Help with a diet

Then you need to finding a training program that works best for you. Starting out just pick one, record your results and if you are making gains stick with it, if not, switch to something else. (give yourself a few weeks to try it out)

Let us know if you have any more questions.

Cool. Thanks guys. I'll check out the links. I am sorting out the diet and workouts right now. It is wild to be eating so many times a day. Totally not what I am used to.

It helps to pre-cook your meals. They are smaller meals so its not as bad as it seems just need to plan for it.
