The reason behind Reputation Points is to earn it by making quality posts and helping other members of the board out with their questions, not asking for it. I'm the board Admin and I could easily give myself 1000 rep points just by going in and editing my user profile, but I won't. I want people to rep me for doing something good, not asking for rep points. :)
