Hey everyone I am a total newbie to bodybuilding. My girlfriend competes and I want to learn more and get myself into shape.. not just for her but me too. So I am basicly starting from scratch... I weigh about 245 and stand 6'4" Any help advice or input anyone can give me would be great. Just started going to gym I lift 2 days a week. and do cardio the rest. If ya need to know anything else let me know!!!

Welcome to the dungeon John. Just curious how did you meet your gf? That would be awesome to meet a girl who competes.

We actually met at work. didn't know she competed till we got to be friends.

She competes in Figure. and what a figure she has too

Seriously though she has only ben in 3 competitions just been doing this for about a year but the transformation she went through... WOW... I met her after she started and she showed me pics... totally different person. Now she is working on transforming me :o)

My girl competed figure last October. She plans on doing fitness this June. She did gymnastics through high school and college... I agree the transformation is incredible.... in 12 weeks they change so fast....

Cool. Mine is going to compete in the fall. SHe wanted to take a bit off, she did 3 shows in a row before we started dating and said it took a lot out of her.

Very nice, tell her to join up on the board as we just opened up a Female Bodybuilding section on the site! We have a lot of female bodybuilders/fitness enthusiasts that visit the site but didn't really have a "home" since most of the threads are more geared towards, and written by men. Now they have a place to call home!
