After reading a few topics here, I decided to register.
A bit about me:
My full name is Maurice Bergers, but just about everyone calls me Maus.
I live in the Netherlands, near Rotterdam.
I recently turned 19 and ehm... well, that's about it.
A bit about my training 'history':
I was a (really) skinny little brat, so me and a friend decided we wanted to get a bit more muscular. So we signed up at a gym nearby, and started with a scheme we got from one of the owners. We weren't training very seriously, and we sometimes just skipped a training.
After about a half year of training twice a week, not really paying attention to what I ate, using more machines than free weights and so on... I decided the messing around had to stop. On monday the 27th of march 2006 I started training 4 times a week. My friend already dropped out by then, guess he wasn't motivated and disciplined enough...
I also started looking on the internet for information about training and nutrition, I wanted to take my faith in my own hands, so to speak... And so I did.
The first two weeks I was finding out how much weight I could handle, and how to perform certain exercises. In those two weeks I did made a few minor changes to my scheme, and also started squatting and deadlifting (damn, those exercises are great!). The first few times I squatted in a smith-machine, due to the absence of a squatrack. Luckily someone pointed out to me that I could place the barbell on the diprack, in orde for me to squat with a loose barbell.
In the meanwhile I tried to eat more, pay more attention to what I ate, and eat more meals a day. So also the nutrition was coming along nicely. Still not perfect, but getting there.
Training is going quite good, and I'm still very motivated!
