Cormier was more off than he's ever been in his life at the '05 O, and there's no shame in pointing it out. The real shame is that Rockel, Dim, Taylor, Henry, etc. were put behind him. We've seen that past recognition will get him second at the Arnold, but he'll have to remember why he's in the sport if he wants to take the title home. I feel Cormier's lack of total dedication is catching up to him at this point, and his previous record will only carry him so far(look at Nasser, as far as a name is concerned).
As far as Dexter goes, he's just amazing... no other way to say it. I'm not an overly huge fan of his(I don't dislike him by any means; just not a fanatic), but I can't help but be amazed by his condition and presentation. He was the guest poser at the Utah Gold Cup this past year, and when he rolled down onto the floor, being three feet away from Dexter has been, and always will be, one of the best experiences I've had with bodybuilding, period. He has game that you can't believe until you see him in person, and he's an excellent man to boot. I believe he'll need to change very little to hang onto his title. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" is a phrase that fits Jackson completely. Unless he shows up on stage with a leg amputation, and/or on fire, it'll be a battle for second. |
