MR O RONNIE AT MY GYM

Hey Guys, I work out at GOLDS GYM VENICE (The Mecca of Bodybuilding). I went in early tonight 6:00, my usual time is 8:30. I was just finishing my shoulder/tris workout and was ready to walk out, then bam I walked right into BIG RON. He had a big jacket on, I looked him in the face and did not even know it was him. His face is still as sucked in, as when he was on stage sat night. Then I turned around and looked at his calves, and said DAMM that is BIG RON. He was doing back tonight. He had on Golds Gym shorts and T-Shirt. I went over to Will Harrris IFBB PRO, and said did you see tiny in the next room. He went over and talked to him for a bit, I was still in shock. I was like a young girl who just saw brad pitt. I have been working out at golds gym since 1997 and have see every pro come and gone. But damn he is one big guy, and being ripped to the bone was even more scary. His lats are so big, hit arms just sit right on top of them. He is a very nice guy, and took the time during his work out to talk to evey person that came up and said hi to him. He is very donwn to earth and not cocky at tall. He is a true champion. I even saw him looking at all the big pictures of pros on the wall, admiring them just like any one else.

I am sorry for no pics, but i usually dont carry my camera to the gym. He might be there again tommorow night, so I will take my camera just in case. See 8 TIME MR O made my night.

Nothing sexual. I was just in awe of him. Meaing to me it was better then a moive star or rock star. I was so excited I called my wife and my best friend from the gym. Even my wife was excited.

Thats really, really awesome Bigdje! You are super lucky to meet him and its cool to know that he is a really down to earth guy. :)

Yeah i know, Just had to add those 2 bits in. Any ways when i first started working out there I always had my camera, but it has been 9 years now and the new has worn off. Plus when I got at 8:30 at night the only pro there is usually BOB (CHIC) and Will Harris. Not they neither one is not worth a picture, but i know they will be there all the time. BIG RON lives in texas, so this is a one time shoot. I hope he is there tommorow night.

im surprised he already started workin out again. i always thought after the olympia those guys took a week or two off.

He was not doing a full blow workout with big heavy ass weight. Just enough to keep the blood pumped into the muscle. Of course is LIGHTWEIGHT workout was more weight then 90% of the peeple use in the gym.

Thanx for letting us know. I can just imagine how you felt. They seem larger than life, but are really nice guys. I can still remember the day Robby Robinson The Black Prince and Masters Mr Olympia walked into the gym where I worked in South Africa.

Felt like a dream. Like meeting a big movie star and yet he was very quiet, polite and even offered to pay for the workout!

As if I will let one of my idols pay for working out in my gym?!

With all the steroid talk and guys (even some on this forum) saying bad things about our stars, it is nice to know that there are people who still admire and respect these larger than life champions.

Now we also know the answer to the thread "Wonder what Ronnie is doing now" question. - He is working out as usual for his next Olympia win!

are there grand prix shows this year?

if so that is why he is still working out. i know in the past he has taken time off from working after his competetive season is over.

I met Big R 3 yrs ago at a vitamin store where he was signing autographs. You are right, he is a true champion, very down to eart unlike big ass Jay Cutler. I can't stand that dude!!!! I hope he never gets to be Mr. Olympia, that'd be just a disgrace to our sport. Just imagine a Mr. O who walks around like his s..t don't stink. I rather see Gustavo Badell as the next champion, he is real gentleman.

isnt he gonna compeat again soon with alexander fedrove and then take a couple of months off for his recovery then start training again for the olympia like almost every year?
