What happened to Gunter Schlierkamp? In most of the magazines i read in the few months leading up to Olympia he supposedly had Ron Coleman's number this year. He came in 4th! what is that! all i know is, if your talking big game like that you had better back it up!

Gunter did come in his best shape ever, if you think about it fourth in the world is not that bad of a placing. I’m sure most of these guys go in there to win not to get second (or 4th). They must have that mind set that they are going to take it all to have the intensity and state of mind to compete at that level. IMO Gunter was just being competitive.

gunther looked amazing this year and the 4th place is a great result for him!

Gunter was so close to 3rd place it wasnt funny. In his mind he was the best and i dont think he was that far off it. Side chest was a killer and his triceps have caught upto his biceps heaps.

it was a definate fight for 3rd and 4th Gunter is on the right track again and should only get better this year

He looked good. Nailed most parts of his conditioning and got his upper body correctly proportioned. A little more leg size and hamstring conditioning would serve him well, though the latter is probably a genetic thing. And just like Jay, Flex, etc. no matter how shredded the rest of his body his ham/glute tie-in just won't be a strong suit. In any case, I could have seen him in 3rd, and he definitely made a lot of people forget about the '04 Gunther.

I was really impressed with Gunter myself... He looked awesome this year. Think he deserved third..

EXACTLY Gunter did awesome.......Reasoning for Gustavo being ahead of him is because Gustavo is balanced better, Gunter needs more legs...and then....He'd be like perfect....He has a very good midsections there, allthough his ab and thigh pose his obliques stuck out pretty far..... Gunter did very well he is climbing to the top no doubt.

His placing is irrelevant, Gunter came in looking fucking great.
Colour was perfect as well.
I give all my props to Gunter for this Olympia, i hope next year he comes in
even better and takes a top 3, fuck that, i hope he wins.

Gunter looked great. That guy has done amazing things with his structure. He has alot of faults and still made it to fourth in the world. That's awesome.
If you want to see something interesting then download the '94 Olympia and watch Gunter. He has been around alot longer then most people realize and has clawed his way up. He has gained huge amounts of muscle. Props to him.

gunter looked his best ever and was placed perfectly at 4th, he would have looked even better if his tan was a little darker, tanning and color can make a big difference he needs to get that lee priest color which is always very good
