the point I was trying to make is, powerlifters getting injured during a lift, is like a car crash during Nascar, or a fight during hockey. people enjoy seeing something out of the ordinary happen, because it makes it that much more exciting

I heard from a buddy of mine that Gene was asked to show up to a competition and bench 600 without the shirt. He never showed.

i've heard very negative stories about Gene's raw bench pressing ability as well.

I can't stand the gear in powerlifting now. Aggravates me to no end.

Scot Mendelsen (sp?) has benched over 700 raw, that is far more impressive in my eyes.

I agree to an extent. But the suits are really more for safety than anything else. Until you have these guys that wear 2-3 shirts when doing bench press. Then they are just using them for teh weight. The suits also help keep everything aligned properly.

I blame the spotter on right of screen the guy on the left of screen clearly lets go and the guy on the right keeps taking the weight thus pushing it to the side that got squished. As for the suit that just stupid, see when he lays down he looks like a turned over turtle, one of the spotters had tp push Gene' left hand into position loool.

As for BB blooper dude, guys have dropped to the ground in total cramps, punches have been thrown before and guys have ended up dead. That all take time, commitment, money and hard work.........shit even I can climb under a weight and squash my self LMAO
