i heard somethin about a new federation. w/e the federation may be, hopefully it gives all of the athletes the amount of money they deserve. the amount of time you ahve to put into being a pro doesnt allow to have a full time job. they gota get money from somehwere.

the question is, "will they have a consistant source of income". winning money's great, especially an amount like that. but for the guys that wont win all the big shows where will they get their money? like the olympia...1st prize $150k...11th and lower $2k. going to a show as big as the olympia you should get atleast $75k just for showing up. i think being a pro you should have a consistant income of...say $100k or so. the one thing im waitin for the most this year is what dexter is going to say about this new federation. hopefully its a step in the right direction for BB.

i think the average person doesnt realize the dedication, drive and w/e else it takes to become a pro. they need to know, then again, most people dont consider lifting a sport. they think, "wait, i go to the gym, i workout...so they do the same thing but use steroids".

considering you have guys like tiger woods that gets payed a million dollars just to go to a golf tourny. you have guys that sit at a table and play cards and win hundreds of thousands of dollars. then you have 19 year olds like lebron james that gets payed 90 million before he even touches a basketball at the pro level. lebron made more money before he played at the pro level than most pro athletes make over a lifetime. some guys playing minor league baseball make more than pro bodybuilders. maybe 75k is a stretch just for showing up. but i really do think they should get somethin just for showing up. or atleast have a consistant income. its just my opinion.

agreed deisel, think how much the sport could develop is we had pros who didn't have to have secondary jobs. How many NBA or NFL players have full time jobs besides their sport of choice. If they could dedicate all their time and effort, not being stressed out by other things in life mabye ronnie and jay would have more of a challenge. But where is that money gonna come from? I don't want to pay any more money for my supplements, and I already can't go to pro phows cause the tickets are so expensive, don't get me started on videos....40 or 50 bucks? come on guys...

most of the money that the top athletes like tiger and lebron make are from endorsement from nike. thats how they make so much money. tiger will play 4 days of golf 6 hours a day to try and win 500k. thats alot for playing some rounds of golf. bodybuilders stand on the stage for a couple of hours to try and win 150k? sounds pretty decent to me. sure they train their asses off. all athletes do to get where to want to get. tiger chose golf as a career cuz he was good at it. bodybuilders chose their careers too cuz theyre good at what they do also. it all depends on how much hype the sport gets and bodybuilding doesnt get much worldwide attention as opposed to golf, hockey etc....

I doubt it has anything to do with the new league...but we'll never know until then. I know that Craig Titus will be in it for sure (league).
