as far as this mr olympia never being dethroned, sadly this is true. bodybuilding has to stop this bullshit fast they are doing no one a favor by doing this. they think that the people want to see a mr olympia that is dominant, and there right, but only when the champ is dominant. the ifbb have been wanting a dominant champ like arnold or sergio for years and have thus tried to make haney and yates and now coleman that too.although these men deserved most of their wins, the ifbb has to give up on making each champ the next arnold or sergio. bottem line the people want to see the best man win just as much as the athletes. the ifbb is killing bodybuilding as much if not more than the drug use or chemicals imo. and as far as the judges saying that the sport is subjective, i think if the contest is really that close than no one would pissed out the outcome, unlike now where all the fans do is bitch about some fucking wanker judge make some bullshit call

Everybody was saying in 2003 how Ronnie was losing his edge and someone was going to dethrone him, then he just came and smoked the field. He will prevail for at least 2 more Mr. O's

Hopefully he retires in 16 months with 9 titles. No need for him to do anything crazy like go for 10. Plus he if gets 9, he would only get beaten if somebody else gets 10 and that seems extremely unlikely; consider the fact that you have guys turning pro at about 30 right now, plus it takes some time to move up the ranks - it would be hard to win the Olympia before age 35 or so, and who would want to continue to compete long enough at that level to get 10? Seems very unlikely.

My hope is that he either ties Haney's record or maybe beats it by one and quits - for the sake of his health. He deserves a good retirement. He can have one if he quits, slims down, and just trains recreationally from then on. By all accounts (including his sister), he is in very good health right now.

Good point.
I'm pretty amazed by the fact that there are so few deaths in this sport, in the pro ranks.

Not for all the right reasons though.

Ronnie is good, though IMHO, there are better bodies out there that weigh upto 50lbs less who have what it takes to make a winner.

Remember, Ronnie won the Mr O back in 1998 at 250lbs~.

IMHO, Jay deserves it. I also think he has what it takes to be the Mr O. Ronnie is getting on in his age, though I know he will never retire until he is beaten. That will be decided by the judges, and probably due to that fact that ronnie needs a walking stand to get on stage :) :) :)
