"it was the leanest I have ever been, even though it didn't show it. If we had Ironman lighting, it would of shown it. It would of shown all of the shadows and shown how hard I really was. But I am not using the lighting as an excuse, I am saying it washed almost everybody out. Everybody looked a little soft. But my conditioning was right on. A little flat, but it was spot on. "

The sad thing is, he may not be that bad of a guy. I mean, he does get bashed a lot and that would make anyone pissed, but I don't think he'll ever be able to change his image. Oh well, I am not a fan of Kamali, but he did look much better at the NY show than he has in the past. Props to him on that. He has never had the best physique, but at least hes making an effort to change it. And lets not forget, had the lighting been different, he might have taken the entire show!!!

I believe him, it was a light problem actually with lights off i look just like Ronnie Coleman.

I don't buy the whole thing with power lifting training being the cause of his big stomach/wide waist problem. It's more lileky a drug related problem.

Johhnie O. Jackson for instance, doesn't seem to have that problem and he even competes as a powerlifter.

Kamali´s gut problem is mainly because 70% of the year he weights 310 pounds and is fat as hell, you can´t expect bulk that much and then trim down and have a stomach like Darrem Charles (only Lee Priest can do it)

It seems like nobody can come to an agreement on the exact cause of the distended gut. Some say GH, some say Insulin, others say a diet too high in protein, and others simply say too heavy an offseason. Is there no scientific research that exists explaining this phenomenon. There has to be some way of observing whether there is actual internal organ growth and this is a result of a specific drug or eating habits. Or whether it is just an increase in adipose tissue in the stomach area, and not actual internal organ growth, which could also be explained by specific drugs, specific type of diet, or even genetics.
