to be honest i don't think this is the future of IFBB, i mean its always been someone who motivates u! like ronnie or jay, what ever u do they'r always one step ahead of u :/ to be honest those of us who are serious bodybuilders with ambitions see people like jay or ronnie as perfect examples of what our hard work can lead us too, end of the day we go to the gym to get big, we always set goals for our self nd when we reach them we take it to the next level and set higher goals. i mean that the human nature, thats how we advance in anything. to be honest yeah i agree phills got a gift and i ain't disagreeing with that. but what bout those of us who dont have that kinda gift to look like him, its here that people like jay motivate us nd show us that u don't need to be perfect to be one of the best and have so many fans and followers, its what u make of what u already have that makes u a champ!!
To conclude all of this, i think the bodybuilder who people see a bit of them selfs in is always the champ! don't jst have to be a bodybuilder, anyone who's succesful in any field.
Some might think i'm jealous of him, but thats not true, i got alot of respect for this guy, but he don't motivate me. End of the day i go to the gym knowin that if i give it time and work my ass off i'll be the best i can be, if somebody jst comes along and trains for 3 or 5 years nd gets ahead of the majority, so what! i mean its not like he trained 10 times harder than th rest!?!? just his luck.
Its like when u compare a person who's born in a millioner family, and a person who works his ass off to make the million. For me to be honest i never really thought much of people who were born rich or won th lottery, so what its jst their luck!
But phill man i still got a lot of respect for u nd keep doin what u doing.

I understand what your saying that he doesn't motivate but wtf does that has to do with him being the champ or not? Best body should win. It's not that Ronnie got where he is because of all his hard work and genes had nothing to do with it. Yeah he works like a ox, but still without those genes he would be nowhere.

Phil got the kind of physique I like to see, distended guts with unproportional mass isn't wat motivates me.

Yeah i know he might become the champ, but winning the competition is jst a title!end of the day every bodybuilders a champ cause they managed to look the way they do by making a journey from where they are now by takin alot of pain nd hardship, where 90% jst give up half way through it. I mean even though jay's never won the olypmia to my eyes he's the champ and i'm sure he's never gonna think at the end of his career i should have, would have, could have!! he's givin it his best nd thats why people like him so much.
In hte case of ronnie, true his got the genes, but i'm sure out of the millions of us trainin out there he ain't th only ones with that sorta genes, alot of people jst don't have hte guts to train like that!! even the bodybuilding community knows that to train like that u need guts, one slip nd he's a gonner!!

One other thing thats been on th back of my mind, the way competitions are held i think could have been different in an ideal world, where people where judged for the body they have on stage depending on what they started with, nd on stage there conditioning was compared with one another. This way someone like ronnie might not be winning it all the time, cause he wasn't a lil guy when he started out, and people like DJ would get alot more credit for what they'r presentin on stage considering how much they've improved from what they were to be able ot come nd stand on the stage that day.

Phil looks great in those pics standing by himself, but I'd like to see him compared to other top pro's.

IMO that is what a pro bodybuilder should look like. I hope he does well and gets rewarded for a build that is actually insperational and nice to look at. I love Ronnie and Jay, don't get me wrong, but I think a build like Phil Heath's is much more near physical perfection than the mass monsters, reminds me of Flex Wheeler in the early 90's when he was at his best.
