i take it you disagree. your telling me the sport today is proper and that people are judged accordingly to the stanards of asthetics and flowing lines. Im not trying to offened anyone by all means or rip apart bodybuilding as a sport. i love bodybuilding, but professional bodybuilding judging standards went by by years ago. sorry pain, ill keep my mouth shut on this topic from here on out.

Im with Big ben, this guy looks fantastic, hell of a lot better then most of the shit coming out these days, im not anti-new age bodybuilding, but just compare this type of physique to a couple of the pics in the San Fran Pro thread, then try and tell me that the sport isnt going downhill

Well so far this year that's been awarded fairly well. I'm not saying the dreaded mandate is going perfectly as planned, but I think bodybuilding as a whole is headed in the right direction. I think Henry in second at the IM did more for our sport than Priest in first, whether he's more popular or not. It just shows that guys that get into amazing shape are now being compared to the bigger names. Also at the AC, sure Dex is a big name but he's probably also the most complete BBer today. Second was Branch who is making great strides and looking better and better and bringing up lagging parts and Victor is finally starting to get into shape and he's got great lines too. I don't think bodybuilding today sucks by any means. It's just like any other sport, it goes through phases and it seems like the raw mass phase is slowly fading away. Sure, mass is still awarded but it's becoming looked at more and more as just one element of a great physique, not the only one.
