Lowering your overall Bodyfat % is what will make your abs "show". As far as making them just toned and flat, just get them enough exercise and lower your BF% to the point where ya like what ya see.

There are a plethora of Abdominal and "Core" exercises that can be done to strengthen your AB's. Comes down to preference and physical limitations as to which ones you chose.

For a girl it's very different. On a guy 8% would be very close to a 6 pack, on a girl, it would be 10-12%.

It is practically impossible to just loose fat around your stomach only unless you wanna do lipo suction lol, but yeah just stick to dieting for a few weeks do lots of cardio and weights. What is your diet like? Post up your daily diet ,what do you usually eat during the day?

We know what ya mean, and we sympathize, we don't like women losing it anywhere else either.

How tall are you, and age. The younger you are the easier it is for you to "get away with" a crappy diet and still not weigh a lot. Switching to a healthier diet will help lose some of the fat and potentially make you look and feel more fit/better.

If ya do a google search for "core exercises" you get a lot of results, and depending on the time you have, and the equipment ya have access too, ya can do a lot of different ones.

Rather than targeting abs, a good yoga class might be what you need, for better overall fitness, and to try and get the results you are looking for.

By 8.9 stone thats about 126lbs right? How old are you? Like I said before just loosing weight around the belly area is kinda hard. Fat comes off from all areas. As for foods goes if you wanna loose weight you obviously wanna eat protein and cut down on the carbs and also the fats although you need some carbs and fats but you have to intake the good types of fats and carbs for example these are some of the foods that your suppose to be in-taking:

Protein: egg whites , cottage cheese, chicken breast, lean ground turkey , lean ground beef, lean turkey , turkey ham, tuna, talipa, red meat, shrimp, pretty much any type of fish and any lean meat etc..

carbs: veggies, brown rice, oatmeal, potatoes, yam , whole wheat pasta , lentils, whole grain muffin, whole wheat bagel etc..

fats: nautral peanut butter, peanuts, almonds walnuts , avocado, flax seed oil , omega 3 fatty acid etc..

These are just some food examples that you have to be in-taking throughout the day, everyday. After this you need to be eating about 5-6 small meals a day. Do cardio about 4-5 times a week, and throw in some weight sessions in there weight training is a good way to burn fat faster. I hope this kinda helps.

Situps are not as good as they are cracked up to be, yes, good point.

If I were you I'd go over to ShapeFit.com and look over their abs/core workout suggestions. It's really helpful because it's very organized site plus each workout is a little animated image, showing you just how to do the workout.

Good luck with the hunt and post again if you have more questions!

Train your abs correctly. I think u do exersises wrong. The best weapon for attaking abs is leg pull-ups in hanging on horizontal bar. In the top point, your legs must touch the bar.
