The other day my work out buddy spoke to someone to have a program made up since we're new to the whole bodybuilding thing. He's not a personal traininer or anthing that I know of but he said to her that even though I am able to build muscle real quick, there's no point in me even looking at competing since i'm so short (5'1'') and my breasts are too large (FF).
I am just wondering if it is true there is a mimimum height and if it is preferable to be flat chested to be successful in comptetion?

No maam he is completely wrong about the height. They have short classes and tall classes Lots of the competetitions have like %ft and under Then like 5ft- 5ft6 and so on.
As far as the very large chest well you will be in your own class lol Im kidding but they very well could take away from your figure in a competition more so in figure than fitness but only because they could get in the way of showing your midsection because you are short.

The shorter you are the bigger you'll seem muscle wise. When you build muscle and lose body fat your breast size will reduce. If you were in competition shape I'd bet you lose 3 breast sizes or more.

Some of the best body builders in the world are shorter people.

Train for a while and see how it goes for you body-wise.

Your figure may change drastically as a result and it may not. Depending on your results you may want to compete in some of the figure or fitness competitions or just model instead. Lots of different avenues available.

These are all great replies, good luck if you decide to continue towards competition, I'm sure your height will not hinder your success in any way. Good luck.
