Welcome! getting your diet in check is half the battle or more some will say. You are on the skinny side so bulkin may be the right track but that is alot of weight to gain in a week and i would geuss thats not muslce and you are farily short so I dunno guys dont you think she should slow down on the weightgainer until she gets into the gym. Well that is my first queston actully have you started lifting yet? Do you know kinda what you would like to see other then just gaining 14-20 pounds pretty quick, stronger upper body..lower body, certain areas? i see mabey you are a racer and want/need to strengthen certain areas. would you like to do free weights or machine or a bit of both? do you have acces to a gym or are you planning on doing this at home..?

let me just let you know that for a guy, gaining actual LEAN MASS takes a reeeeaaaalllly long time.

if you gained 7lbs in 1 week and a half, probably 98% of that was fat and water.

you might not need a weight gainer. just have someone help you with a good lean bulk diet.

bodybuilding is a sport of patience. it takes a long time so be patient.

that my 2 cents

good luck

According to my nutrition textbook you can gain 1/4oz to 1oz of muscle per day but that seems like a lot to me.

bitch-racin, I'm not even sure that you need to try to bulk. If you get your diet down, eat clean, train, and get plenty of rest you will see great results.

yeah? well my nutrition book says that the majority of your protein should come from shakes!

it also says that if you don't wait 3 hours after your pre-workout meal, you won't get pumped because your body will be using the blood to digest the food.

oh yeah, i forgot i ate that nutrition book.

welcome first off,
OK so your bottom line is that you wish to build some muscle/ so its not just that you want to gain weight, correct? like the guys said hit the gym,or at least get access to some kind of weight training equipment, second have someone help you who knows the proper form and exercises for your particular needs,3rd and probably most important is the food you eat and the amount, figure out your needs per muscle gain or just weight gain, and we all can lend our support in one way or another, oh p.s. i love that stone weight you use over the pond..

I would say wait with weightgainers and supplements or atleast dont concentrate on them too much. First concentrate on your diet and training, then when you got that in check go for supplements. Thats the easiest way, ofc you can go for supplements as much as you want, but remember its proper diet and proper workouts that helps you achieve your goals, supplements is just helps on the way.

your not going to see your abs in definition until your body fat comes down, unless its a different 6 pack , then i`d go with a light beer,

dont have any particular diet
but if your still sticking with gaining weight you have to be carefull and not take on to much to fast or you will gain fat, building muscle takes longer to build than to gain fat, so if you want to see your abs the diet need to be in good order and do weight training with cardio, add your calories slow dont just jump up 3000 calories in one day, it takes time but if that is you in the pic you look pretty lean, so yea do the ab`s like islander suggested. that will help out the definition if your lean in your stomach area. good luck
