Jill mills is a bodybuilder-turned-powerlifter-turned-strongwoman--she does it all! After winning the first world's strongest woman contest for two years in a row in 2001 and 2002, she's gone on to win countless other strength competitions including the WPC world championship for her weight class in 2003 and the championship for "strongest woman alive" in 2004.
Jill started lifting weights in secret. When she was 13, she would wait until her family was asleep and attempt to lift her father's concrete weight plates. In high school, she was very involved in physical education, and when she graduated she entered the army reserve. She excelled in her training and became very interested in bodybuilding. She had a successful bodybuilding career despite having a child in the middle of it. Later on, she picked up powerlifting from her husband and became a successful competitor in powerlifting as well. After having so much success in powerlifting, it was only a matter of time before she started entering strongwoman competitions to eventually earn the title "world's strongest woman!"
She is also an animal lover and many of her pets are rescued animals including horses, goats, pigs, cats and dogs. She works as a registered massage therapist and personal trainer, and lives in texas with her husband and daughter.
Some of her words to aspiring female athletes:
"Women can be strong, fit, and muscular and still be feminine... It is a state of mind! Young girls should be encouraged to get involved in sports and fitness. This will help them become fit, healthy, independant, strong, young ladies of tomorrow!"
