For loosing one pound of weight we need to cut 3500 calories. So for loosing a pound of weight per week, we
should eat 500 calories less than what our body burns per day. Simple logic. Isn't it?
Now the question which comes is " How many calories we should burn every day?".
Our bodies burn lot of calories even when we sleep and when we move. More the aerobic exercise, more
calories we burn.
One important step is to use a chart that lists basal calorie rates. This chart will enable you to know how many
calories you tend to burn depending upon your height, body type, gender and work-out levels.
For a woman of medium frame and 5'5 height, the average calorie burning is 1600 and 2000 per day depending
on activities. If we guess it to be 1800 calories per day, the simple math says that for losing a pound a week,
500 calories needs to be cut down. In simple words, stick to the diet of 1300 calories per day.
The study reveals that long run gives better success. If you try to reduce it faster, you get tired and stressed.
Now you can choose your favorite diet but remember to limit it to the ( total calories you burn less 500) calories.
All best,
