Nickname

Would it be cool to have our nickname colored for every 100 posts we make? For example, each one who posts 100 times has his nickname colored blue, then 200 posts green, then 300 yellow... and so on. And one color for the vip's. I think this will make us look forward for the next 100 posts hehe

Ever 100 post you get 1 rep. I think that in itself is enough motivation for some of us lol.

I've never thought of that. The rep is some incentive but toss around the idea and others as well and see what we come up with.

Sounds cool at first, but then I start thinking...there are only so many colors...what do you do when people get into the 1000's? And who is going to remember the difference between mauve and tope?

Exactly. Nobody is really going to remember between colors and then it seems to defeat the purpose. I'm not even sure if that function is available to set up but keep thinking of ways to improve the dungeon!

It could be viable if it was every 500 posts or something,

But thinking about it theres lots of colors being used already

Blue: Normal status/ Admin
Orange: VIP
Green: Reps
Purple: Pro BBers
Pink: VIP females??
Red: Mods
Yellow: FMOTM

That doesnt leave a whole heap other than black or white =S

never thought of the colors lol but if the reps increase every 100 points to about 5-10 reps wouldnt that be better?

I forget exactly why but a while back we lowered it to 1 rep due to popular demand from the board. Sorta coming full circle here wanting to go back to the way it was. :)

There used to be a lot of rep whoring going on around here. Everyone's been pretty cool with it for a while now, though.

That would be pretty cool. Another thing I have seen is being issues different titles for differ amounts of posts . For example Amateur vs novice. Something likes that.

We've got NPC Lightweight, NPC Heavyweight, etc. for different number of posts. I'd be up for changing those titles if anyone wants to throw in some suggestions. I'd have to double check, but I think there are 5 different levels for that at various post counts.
