Hey all ! As we are all health concious Bodybuilders I was wondering whether we could make a column specifically for " sponsorship " events etc !

For the 6th time I have wrode on the London to Brighton bike race which covers 60 miles in length !

I believe I raised over £80 for this years event !

Obviously factors such as how do we fund each others event/s etc need to be discussed but maybe " paypal " could be 1 option ?! Or just send funds in cheque form or bankers draft to your event funding sponsor ?!

Apart from actively using The Dungeon forums we could at the same time raise money for very very good causes, charities !

Just a thought ! Let me know your opinions be that neg or pos !

I give to a certain number of reputable Charitable Organizations throughout the year, all of which are tax deductable.

Yes its absolutely great that you do charitable funding in your own time as I also do
The objective of starting this thread and to propose the idea of having a " column " strictly for charitable causes and to mainly " PROMOTE " such charities, which I believe to be good for the board and also actively funding cancer research ... Heart foundation ... RSPCC etc !

Its just a thought ! Yet to see what others think !

Hey all ! I have gone into alot more detail to WebMaster on the idea of having a column especially for sponsorship events and the best ways I can think of to promote such organizations on this site
There will be a section for each of you to sponsor your own event for a named charity as well ! So each person can create a new thread on the event they are participating in or purely just raising for their named charity. Back in june I raised £87 for the (BHF) British Heart foundation, and would have raised more if only I thought of promoting such charities on here much earlier !!!! lol

Anyway hopefully soon you will have your chance on using the dedicated " column " for all sponsorship / charity type events !

Webmaster is looking into it and is very keen on our Forum to promote charities which lets face it has got to be a good thing !

I will not post my much more detailed account of how the dedicated charity " column " will be set up at this time until webmaster has looked into it more !

I really think promoting and having a dedicated thread for charity organizations is going to really be good for this site

Well that would be an excellent event to participate in
And you could be the first to use the " Sponsorship " column which I believe webmaster is looking into ! I have wrode the London to brighton bike race 5 times now which is also once yearly ! Thats for BHF ! Great cause ! What charity is your ride for ??

Anyway fingers crossed this " column " will be up and running soon ! Waiting to hear back.
